  • Signed 7 new players to the roster – all local players which was the University’s priority in recruiting

  • Branding the University and the City as the “World’s Most Powerful” #WMPU & #WMPC

  • Signed highest ranked recruiting class in school history

  • Signed James Bishop team’s leading scorer

  • Top 10 teams to win the 2020 Offseason" according to Aaron Torres

University of South Alabama

  • Recruited 6th ranked transfer recruiting class in the nation in 2018 according to The Athletic" 

  • Recruited roster that went from preseason 7th to preseason 1st selection in the Sun Belt

  • 84th ranked recruiting class nationally, 1st ranked recruiting class in the Sun Belt, and best recruiting class in school history

  • Coached the Forwards which included Josh Ajayi, an All-Sun Belt Performer

  • Created the "Port City" student section and @USAPortCity social media which led to significant increase in student attendance at games

University of Maryland

Director of Basketball Operations

2014-2018

Record: 98-38 (72%)

  • Three straight NCAA Tournament appearances, three NCAA Tournament wins, 1 Sweet 16 appearance

  • Finished tied for 2nd in the our first three regular seasons in the Big 10

  • Led the effort to begin the first ever former player reunion in Maryland Basketball history bringing many former great back to campus for the first time

  • Created the Maryland Basketball Coaching Clinic and Team Camp – The most attended camp in the area (32,64, and 80 varsity teams in the three years camp has been in existence)

  • Involved in scheduling Georgetown vs Maryland – renewing a rivalry in College Park for the first time since 1973

  • Most successful three year span in UMD History (2014: 28-7, 2015: 27-9, 2016: 24-9)

  • 37-1 in non-conference games scheduled over three seasons – Saved $336,000 from 2015 to 2016 on guarantees

  • Helped create 2016’s most “googled” trend the “Running man challenge” & team mantra #WeWill

  • Signed Ivan Bender & Eric Ayala

  • Initiated several athletic department wide efforts that assisted all teams in recruiting, saving money, and player welfare

  • Increased Maryland’s social media accounts from dormant to top 15 most followed accounts in all of college athletics

NC State University

  • Prepared every scouting report in 3 seasons alongside Bobby Lutz

  • Three straight top 15 recruiting classes

  • Most wins in three seasons since the great Everett Case

  • Branded the program via social media to an unprecedented level

  • Invented the hashtag #WPN which is used by our fans on all social media outlets – a unifying symbol for the fans

  • Started CoachGott.Com which was NC State Basketball’s sports network

  • Created the #BattleCannon video segment series highlight 2 walkon PSA’s

  • Created the #GottLunch program which resulted in major donations to the University’s Wolfpack Sports Properties

Bowie State University

Assistant Coach

2010-2011

Record: 23-6 (79%)

  • Recruited 7 players that lead our program to its First NCAA Tournament berth in 13 years and finish with a Top 10 national Ranking

  • Beat #2 in the nation IUP the year after they went to the NCAA National Championship game with 2 returning All-Americans

  • 100% Graduation rate

  • Recruited & Signed 2 of the nation’s most sought after NJCAA players in Najee White and Dametric Scott

  • Started the Darrell Brooks Basketball Camp & Team Camp– The first camp at Bowie State of its kind in over 15 years

  • Bowie State, with the players Nima has recruited, has either won the regular season or post season championship every year since he joined the program
